Did You Know?
Before being treated, your water travels through the Contra Costa Canal—an open waterway built more than 80 years ago.
To keep water reliable and safe for today and tomorrow, the system will be replaced with an underground pipeline.
Think About It...
- What does the canal look like where you live?
- Why is the canal important to your community?
- How can you stay safe around the canal?
- How might the canal look different in the future?
