Silent film star. She was the first of Charlie Chaplin's four wives (She was sixteen, he was twenty-eight). She made 112 movies between 1912 and 1944. She was known as 'Innocent Mildred Harris' because of her marriage to Chaplin at such a young age and because of her innocent looks. Married three times, she passed away at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital from respiratory failure due to pneumonia following an abdominal operation.
