Admission Process
My journey to KIET began with the CUET exam, where I secured a rank of 2639, earning me admission into the Computer Science branch in the first round of counseling. This was an exciting and unexpected milestone. The physical counseling process, including college and hostel admissions, was completed smoothly within 2–3 days.
Early Days at KIET
Adapting to hostel life was initially tough, but meeting supportive friends made the transition easier. Coming from an Electronics Engineering background, moving into the Computer Science stream felt intimidating at first. Concepts like programming, algorithms, and data structures were entirely new to me, but I was determined to catch up.
Supportive Environment
The faculty at KIET has played a vital role in my academic journey. They provide consistent guidance, conduct mock interviews, and give constructive feedback to help us prepare for placements. Faculty members also encourage participation in hackathons, where I gained practical experience by solving real-world problems.
Innotech Experience
One of the most memorable experiences at KIET has been participating in Innotech, a platform for students to showcase their projects. It boosted my confidence and allowed me to present innovative ideas to peers, faculty, and industry experts, making it a valuable learning opportunity.
Current Status
Now in my third year, with the 5th semester successfully completed, I feel more confident in my skills. Joining the Cybersecurity Club, interacting with seniors, and following structured learning roadmaps have been instrumental in my growth. I actively participate in coding competitions and collaborative projects, which have sharpened my problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
Reflections
KIET has been a transformative chapter in my life. The unwavering support of the faculty, participation in extracurricular activities like hackathons, and platforms like Innotech have significantly contributed to my academic and personal growth. I’m excited to continue exploring new opportunities and pushing my boundaries further.
