When the results of the entrance exams were announced, I was ecstatic to learn that I had secured a rank of 9,000, a testament to my hard work and dedication.
However, the path to finalizing my branch wasn't without its challenges. During the online counselling process, I was initially allotted a seat in the Mechanical branch during the first phase. While I had immense respect for the field, my heart was set on IT. Determined to pursue my passion, I decided to participate in the second phase of counselling.
As luck would have it, my patience and perseverance paid off. In the second round of counselling, I was thrilled to receive an offer for the IT branch. It felt like the universe was aligning with my dreams, and I eagerly accepted the opportunity to pursue my desired field of study.
The admission process itself was surprisingly smooth, thanks to the efficient online counselling system implemented by KIIT. I remember paying a counselling fee of 75,000 rupees, which included various amenities such as a laptop, bags, and other essentials for campus life. What's more, a significant portion of the fee, 65,000 rupees, was refundable if I chose not to take admission, providing me with a sense of financial security.
One of the highlights of the admission package was the Lenovo Ideapad laptop, complete with a four-year maintenance warranty provided by the campus tech room. It was reassuring to know that I would have reliable technology support throughout my academic journey at KIIT.
