Cloud Deployment Model defines the type of access to the cloud, i.e., how the cloud is located?
Cloud can be access in 4 types:
- Public Cloud: Public cloud allows system and services to be easily accessible to general public. Public cloud could also be less secure attributable to its openness e.g. Email
- Private Cloud: Private cloud allows systems and services to be accessible within an organisation. It offers accrued security attributable to its personal nature.
- Community Cloud: Community cloud allows system and services to be accessible by group of organisation.
- Hybrid Cloud: Hybrid cloud is a mixture of private and public cloud. However, the critical activities are performed using private cloud while non critical activities are performed using public cloud.
- In Payroll processing: Processing time and hardware requirements are reduced as well as elasticity enabled for future expansion.
- In Astronomic data processing: Energy costs and hardware requirements are reduced.Administration is simplified.
- In Central Government: IT expertise consolidate and hardware requirements are reduced.
- In Local Government: IT expertise consolidate and hardware requirements are reduced.
