The Delhi Government has introduced merit cum-means scholarship to provide tuition fee reimbursement for meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. e-District Delhi Merit Cum Means Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be a resident of Delhi.
- Applicant must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at a Delhi State Public University or a college/institute affiliated with a Delhi State Public University.
- Students who fail in any subject or need additional time to complete credits will not be eligible for any assistance in the repeat year and beyond.
- The student should not be receiving financial assistance from any other scheme or agency during their course of study.
- Student must have passed previous year of examination with 60% without any backlog.
- The Applicant should fulfil the income and academic performance criteria as shown below.

Documents required for e-District Delhi Merit Cum Means Scholarship
To apply for Scholarship, students need to submit the following documents.
- Copy of Class XII or qualifying examination mark sheet/certificate.
- SC/ST Category certificate issued by a competent authority (if applicable)
- Copy of Passbook/E-Statement of the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account.
- All previous mark sheets/certificates from the concerned University/institution of the current program.
- Declaration by the student, as per the format provided, affirming that no financial support has been availed or is being availed from any other source.
Additional documents:
- For Students Requesting Financial Assistance of 100%: Copy of valid card issued under the National Food Security Scheme.
- For Students Requesting Financial Assistance of 50%: Copy of valid annual family income certificate issued by the SDM/competent authority.
- For Students Requesting Financial Assistance of 25%: Full Income Tax Return (ITR) including the acknowledgement page for both parents filed with the Income Tax Department for the previous financial year.
Note: In case of a non-working parent, an affidavit affirming non-employment certified by the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) or competent authority. Family income certificate issued by the SDM or competent authority.
How to apply for e-District Delhi Merit Cum Means Scholarship:
The eligible candidates have to follow the following steps to apply post matric scholarship online application.
- Visit the Official Website: Go to the e-District Delhi portal at edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in.
- Register: If you're a new user, register on the portal by providing your details such as name, email, mobile number, etc. You will receive an OTP for verification. You need to have Adhaar number for registration.
- Login: After registration you will receive credentials for login on mobile number or email. login to the portal using your username and password.
- Select Scholarship Scheme: Look for the "Merit Cum Means Scholarship" scheme under the Apply online->Apply for services on the portal. Click Apply button you will be directed to Application form.

- Fill the Application Form: Fill in the application form with accurate details. Make sure to upload all the required documents such as income certificate, caste certificate, educational certificates, etc.
- Submit the Application: After filling the form, review the details and submit the application.
