Cognizant Programming Analyst – Interview Experience (Selected)

I’m excited to share that I got selected as a Programming Analyst at Cognizant (4 LPA). I hope my interview experience helps freshers who are preparing for similar roles.

🧪 Recruitment Process Overview

The selection process consisted of 3 rounds:

📝 Round 1: Written Test

This round tested both fundamentals and problem-solving skills.

Sections included:

1.Aptitude

2.Verbal Ability

3.Technical MCQs

4.2 Coding Questions

5.1 SQL Query

👉 Focus areas: basics of programming, logic building, and SQL fundamentals.


🗣️ Round 2: Communication Assessment

This round evaluated communication and comprehension skills.

Sections:

1.Listening

2.Reading

3.Speaking

👉 Clear understanding and calm responses are key here.


👨‍💼 Round 3: Technical + HR Interview

After clearing the first two rounds, I received an interview mail.

👨‍💻 Technical Interview

There were two panel members – one Technical and one HR.

Technical questions covered:

1.Self-introduction

2.Detailed explanation of projects in my resume

3.Tech stack used in projects

4.How backend handles data

5.Coding questions

6.Data Structures basics

7.Machine Learning concepts

8.Static methods in Java


👉 They mainly focused on how well I understood my own projects, not just theory.


🧑‍💼 HR Interview

HR questions included:

1.Are you open to relocation?

2.Thoughts on AI and future technology

3.General behavioral questions


🎯 Final Result

After almost 1 month, I received the mail confirming my selection as a Programming Analyst at Cognizant with a package of 4 LPA.

It was a very happy and proud moment for me 💙
