Hi everyone! I recently had an enriching experience interviewing with Optum in October 2024, and I’m thrilled to share the details with you. The process was well-structured, and the clarity about roles and expectations made it a memorable learning journey.
The Recruitment Process
Optum's recruitment process comprised three distinct rounds, each evaluating specific skills:
Online Assessment (OA)
The first round included a mix of aptitude questions and a DSA-based coding challenge. It tested logical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and coding proficiency. The coding question was of moderate difficulty, demanding a solid grasp of algorithms and data structures.
Technical Interview
The second round involved solving coding problems and discussing core technical concepts. The interviewer focused on how I approached problem-solving, the clarity in my explanations, and my understanding of foundational principles.
HR Interview
The final round was more personal and conversational. It revolved around my career aspirations, personal values, and alignment with Optum’s culture and goals. The HR team was transparent about the role, responsibilities, and expectations, making the position and its scope very clear.
Final Thoughts
Optum stands out as a reputed company with a positive work culture and abundant opportunities for growth. The interview process was a valuable experience that enhanced my technical and interpersonal skills.
