My TCS NQT exam was held on 8th May 2024 2nd Shift. I was able to solve 1 coding question completely and my 2 test cases passed for 2nd question. Still, I got the call for the prime interview as I was able to solve almost all questions in the Aptitude and advanced aptitude section and the rest of the sections also went well.
After that, my prime role interview was scheduled for 14th June 2024. The interview started with 2 people (Manager, Technical). I greeted the interviewer. The manager asked me to introduce myself. I have mentioned React in my project so the interviewer asked me about libraries in React. Then the interviewer asked me to write code to check if a no is prime or not and check if a string/number is palindrome or not.
Then he asked me to write the query for the 10 highest salaries in a table. Now, the Technical person started asking me questions. I was asked about what you know about the latest technologies. He asked me about IOT and where IOT is being used on this campus. I told Attendance Management System. He asked me to tell any other application. Then asked about cloud computing and AI/ML. After that he asked me about Github and why we use it. I told them to track the project history. So, he asked me we have our servers so why do we need it. Then after this, he asked me to write git commands to make pull requests in a repo. With this, my Technical and Managerial round was completed. They told me to wait outside for 2 minutes and after that my HR interview happened in front of the same panel just HR came now for the HR round.
He asked me to introduce myself apart from that which was written in my resume. Then he gave me a situational-based question: I have a project deadline in 1 hour and no one in your team is available and neither the manager nor you are getting an unknown error, so how will you solve it? The answer to this question what HR told was to ask for the extension of the project deadline as there is no other option available. Then HR asked me if I ready to relocate and work on Night shifts and asked me about do you know about the bond policy of TCS and with that, my interview was concluded.
The Interview lasted for about 35-40 minutes. At last, I also asked to rate all the 3 on the scale of 5 interviewer which was not part of my evaluation process for the interview.
