Unilever Interview Experience for UniOps (On-Campus Selection - September 26, 2024) at VIT University

Last Updated : 9 Oct, 2024

I Studied at VIT-AP University. I had the opportunity to participate in the campus placement process for UniOps at Unilever, and I wanted to share my journey for those preparing for similar interviews.

Resume Shortlisting:

The process began with UniOps shortlisting resumes from a wide pool based on the skills they were looking for. Make sure your resume highlights the key skills relevant to the job you are applying for.

Document Submission:

The shortlisted candidates were provided with a Word document containing questions related to behavioral, technical, educational background, family background, skills, and internships. We had to fill in this document carefully, as it was used for further shortlisting. Essentially, this document served as a resume for the next rounds, so I would advise putting extra thought into your answers.

HR and Managerial Interview:

Once shortlisted again, the interviews began. My first interview was a combination of HR and managerial questions. Here are some examples of the questions they asked:

How do your technical skills benefit a company like Unilever, which deals with a wide range of products and relies on technology?

Are you interested in pursuing higher studies?

Tell us about the projects listed on your resume and how you managed them.

The focus was on understanding how I managed my projects and how my skills could align with the company's needs.

Final Interview - Technical Round:

The final round was technical. They asked in-depth questions related to the projects I had mentioned on my resume and the technical skills I had listed. It’s crucial to have a thorough understanding of everything you’ve mentioned because they tailor the interview based on the skills you claim to have.

Although I gave my best in the interview, I was not selected. I hope my experience helps you in your preparation. Remember, careful preparation and honesty in your resume will always go a long way.

Good luck to everyone preparing for interviews!
