Congratulations to our Third Quarter Academic Honors students for the 2025–26 school year!

We were honored to hear from Chris Sweeney (father of Carter ’27 and Christopher ’25), Vice President of Global Sustainment at Lockheed Martin International and a retired two-star Navy Admiral with over three decades of leadership and service.

In honor of the United States’ 250th Anniversary, Georgetown Preparatory School’s Global Scholars Program offered Project Americana, a unique Spring Break experience from March 20-25, 2026 that brought students face-to-face with the awe-inspiring beauty of some of Utah’s National Parks: Zion National Park, Arches National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, and Canyonlands National Park.

It is with deep gratitude and admiration that we celebrate Trieu “Cho” Hoang after 35 years of dedicated service to Georgetown Preparatory School.

On March 15, Georgetown Prep President Fr. James Van Dyke, S.J. delivered the homily at the 34th annual Rose Mass at the Church of the Little Flower in Bethesda —the John Carroll Society's annual celebration of health care professionals across the Archdiocese of Washington. Washington Cardinal Robert W. McElroy served as the main celebrant.

Carsten Vissering, a member of the Prep Class of 2015, recently represented the United States at the Olympics on the national bobsled team. A standout swimmer at Prep and at the University of Southern California, Carsten had his sights set on the Olypics at a young age – just not in bobsled….
