Jefferson Arts, Inc., founded in 1998 by those who appreciate the arts and by artists; provides essential support for artistic activities and cultural undertakings in our community. We feature one exhibit per month. We have 2 member exhibits in December and June, and a Student Art Show in April.  February is Black History month and in recognition of such showcase a local Black artist.  An historical or community interest show is featured in the Fall. We have studio space and classroom space as well as a gallery. We feature workshops by well-known artists in all mediums and by our local members as well. Jefferson Arts Gallery also contains a gift shop where we sell affordable original works created by our member artists. 

​Our past shows have included the works of Florida Highwaymen Curtis Arnett and RL Lewis; Morris Miller; Jean Weiner; Lynn Priestly; Julie Boland; Sally Shovar; Nathaniel Pye, Patty Vickers, Fran Buie, Stephen Bennett, Penny L. Anderson, Dr. Maguerite Foxon, Keith McCulloch, Donalee Pond-Koenig, Troy Spencer, Renee Lynch, Debby Brienen, Melinda Copper, Peter Murdock, Ruth Dryden-Deshaies, Linda Van Beck, Anne Hempel, Zaid Haynes, Andrew Greenwood, Strange Circus, Tadja Dragoo, Jo Shoupe, and Eluster Richardson to name a few.  

Jefferson Arts Gallery is located at 575 W. Washington St in Monticello, FL.  The gallery building is in the historical part of Monticello and the building is ADA compliant.  The gallery space is 650 sq ft with 14 ft ceilings and is clean and climate controlled.   The gallery is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10a-2p.  Can't make it during those times?  Just call 850-997-3311 during those hours and schedule an appointment.
