Padre CÉSAR A. DÁVILA G. | | Tuesday, July 21st, 2009 | | 3:21 pm |
Current Mood: awake | | Monday, March 16th, 2009 | | 9:55 pm |
¡No te rindas, amigo!
Happiness
"I know how easy it is to men of the world to look grave and sneer at your sanguine youth, and its glittering dreams. But I find the gayest castles in the air that were ever piled for better, for comfort and for use, than the dungeons in the air that are daily dug and caverned out by grumbling discontented people. I know those miserable fellows, and I hate them, who see a black star always riding through the light and colored clouds in the sky overhead; waves of light pass over and hide it for a moment, but the black star keeps fast in the zenith. But power dwells with cheerfulness; hope puts us in a working mood, whilst despair is no muse, and untunes the active powers. A man should make life and nature happier to us, or he had better never been born.'' Emerson Current Mood: cheerful | | Thursday, June 1st, 2006 | | 11:26 am |
Samadhi
Vanished the veils of light and shade, Lifted every vapor of sorrow, Sailed away all dawns of fleeting joy, Gone the dim sensory mirage. Love, hate, health, disease, life, death: Perished these false shadows on the screen of duality. The storm of maya still By magic wand of intuition deep. Present, past, future, no more for me, But ever-present, all-flowing I, I everywhere. Planets, starts, stardust, earth, Volcanic bursts of doomsday cataclysms, Creation's molding furnace, Glaciers of silent X-rays, burning electron floods, Thoughts of all men, past, present, to come, Every blade of grass, myself, mankind, Each particle of universal dust, Anger, greed, good, bad, salvation, lust, I swallowed, transmuted all Into a vast ocean of blood of my own one Being. Smoldering joy, off-puffed by meditation Blinding my tearful eyes, Burst into immortal flames of bliss, Consumed my tears, my frame, my all. Thou art I, I am Thou, Knowing, Knower, Known, as One! Tranquilled, unbroken thrill, eternally living, ever-new peace. Enjoyable beyond imagination of expectancy, samadhi bliss! Not an unconscious state Or mental chloroform without willful return, Samadhi but extends my conscious realm Beyond limits of the mortal frame To farthest boundary of eternity Where I, the Cosmic Sea, Watch the little ego floating in Me. Mobile murmurs of atoms are heard, The dark earth, mountains, vales, lo! molten liquid! Flowing seas change into vapors of nebulae! Aum blows upon vapors, opening wondrously their veils, Oceans stand revealed, shining electrons, Till, at the last sound of the cosmic drum, Vanish the grosser lights into eternal rays Of all-pervading bliss. From joy I came, for joy I live, in sacred joy I melt. Ocean of mind, I drink all creation's waves. Four veils of solid, liquid, vapor, light, Lift aright. I, in everything, enter the great Myself. Gone forever: fitful, flickering shadows of mortal memory; Spotless in my mental sky--below, ahead, and high above; Eternity and I, one united ray. A tiny bubble of laughter, I Am become the Sea of Mirth Itself. Paramahansa Yogananda. Current Mood: cheerful | | Saturday, May 27th, 2006 | | 10:41 am |
Vida
Worship
If by bathing daily God could be realized Sooner would I be a whale in the deep; If by eating roots and fruits He could be known Gladly would I choose the form of a goat; If the counting of rosaries uncovered Him I would say my prayers on mammoth beads; If bowing before stone images unveiled Him A flinty mountain I would humbly worship; If by drinking milk the Lord could be imbibed Many calves and children would know Him; If abandoning one's wife could summon God Would not thousands be eunuchs? América
¿ Soy bueno o Soy malo ? Ronald Reagan & Astrology
Courtesy of http://evil-genius.livejournal.com/ evil_geniusAstrology worked great for Ronald Reagan: 1. When he was getting shot by John Hinckley. I wonder what his horoscope was that day??? 2. It worked great when he was sending Oliver north to sell arms to Iran, and then give the money to Nicaraguan rebels (Which caused Reagan to suffered a greater one-month plunge in public support (from 67 to 46 per cent) than any president before or since.) 3.Astrology surely allowed Reagan to see the effects slashing the social safety net would cause. Reagan cuts in social spending exacerbated a policy of intentionally raising the unemployment rate. The result was a huge surge in poverty. With homelessness skyrocketing, Reagan defended his administration's record: "One problem that we've had, even in the best of times, and that is the people who are sleeping on grates, the homeless who are homeless, you might say, by choice." 4. Good thing the Gipper's tarot cards came up right or we could all be living in a glass floored self lighting parking lot. Taking the world to the brink of nuclear war. Reagan's supposed contribution to the downfall of the Soviet Union was a military spending contest that drove the USSR into economic collapse. Neglected in most present-day reminiscences is that this military spending spree nearly started a nuclear war. Development and deployment of a host of nuclear missiles, initiating Star Wars, acceleration of the arms race -- these led the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists to move its Doomsday Clock in 1984 to three minutes to midnight. 5. I guess his astrologer must have told him targeted tax cut for the rich were a good idea. The 1981 tax cut was one of the largest in U.S. history and heavily targeted toward the rich, with major declines in tax rates for upper-income groups. The tax break helped widen income and wealth inequality gaps. As David Stockman admitted, one of its other intended effects was to starve the government of funds, so as to justify cuts in government spending (for the poor -- the cash crunch didn't restrain government spending on corporate welfare). 6. Firing striking air traffic controllers. Reagan's decision to fire 1,800 striking air traffic controller early in his term sent a message that employers could act against striking or organizing workers with virtual impunity. 7. Deregulating the Savings & Loan industry, paving the way for an industry meltdown and subsequent bailout that cost taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars. 8. Perpetrating a bloody war in Central America. The Reagan-directed wars in El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua submerged Central America in a climate of terror and fear, took tens of thousands of lives, destroyed a democratic experiment in Nicaragua, and entrenched narrow elites who continue to repress the poor majorities in the region. 9. Embracing South Africa's apartheid regime (Said Reagan in 1981, "Can we abandon this country [South Africa] that has stood beside us in every war we've ever fought?" He followed up in 1985 with, "They have eliminated the segregation that we once had in our own country.") and dictators worldwide, from Argentina to Korea, Chile to the Philippines. 10. Undermining health, safety and environmental regulation. Reagan decreed such rules must be subjected to regulatory impact analysis -- corporate-biased cost-benefit analysis, carried out by the Office of Management and Budget. The result: countless positive regulations discarded or revised based on pseudo-scientific conclusions that the cost to corporations would be greater than the public benefit. 11. Slashing the Environmental Protection Agency budget in half, and installing Anne Gorsuch Burford to oversee the dismantling of the agency and ensure weak enforcement of environmental rules. 12. Enabling a corporate merger frenzy. The administration effectively re-wrote antitrust laws and oversaw what at the time was an unprecedented merger trend. "There is nothing written in the sky that says the world would not be a perfectly satisfactory place if there were only 100 companies, provided that each had 1 percent of every product and service market," said Reagan's antitrust enforcement chief William Baxter. 13. Kick-starting the era of structural adjustment. It was under Reagan administration influence that the International Monetary Fund and World Bank began widely imposing the policy package known as structural adjustment -- featuring deregulation, privatization, emphasis on exports, cuts in social spending -- that has plunged country after country in the developing world into economic destitution. The IMF chief at the time was honest about what was to come, saying in 1981 that, for low-income countries, "adjustment is particularly costly in human terms." 14. Silence on the AIDS epidemic. Reagan didn't mention AIDS publicly until 1987, by which point AIDS had killed 19,000 in the United States. While the public health service advocated aggressive education on prevention, Reagan moralists like Secretary of Education Bill Bennett insisted on confining prevention messages to abstinence. Reagan was a disaster of a president. The American people as a group are perhaps the worst judge of character in all of recorded history. They re-elected George W. bush for pete's sake. Fortify your will & everything would be simple.
The greatest sin is to lie. You can trust a drunker or even a whore, but a liar. Lying is the darkest of sins. Never look for your neighbors' failures nor criticize them. That is dangerous for yourself. By thinking about sins of everybody, those evil will be recorded on your mind, and that will destroy your goodness. Play with God, sing its glory, enjoy its game! Why do you criticize other people? Be freely together with everybody. Be happy with them. Don't speak without self control. Only one with a selfish heart is busy finding sins on others. Keep yourself pure and go ahead following your own goals. Learn how to see goodness on others. If a person has something good, then help him/her to culture it. Honor everybody. Do the above, and your sympathy for everybody will grow. Whoever honors everybody, he/she will be honored as well. Never despise nor neglect any mate. Give them your love as you love yourself and always help them to get goodness. Persons are made of goodness and evil. It's easy to see evil on others, but a saint is who doesn't care sins of others, instead he/she helps them to get holiness. You should be calm, gentle, humble, and speaking with tenderness. Goodness and purity have to flow in every word you said, in every act you made/did, and through your behavior and all your movements. What is chastity? Be always veracious. Control yourself. Check your speaking. Never envy anybody. The heart has to be purified. The world is full of traps/tricks. Keep your guard on every little desire from your mind, and control them. Fortify your will, and everything would be simple. Swami Brahmananda. Current Mood: accomplished |
