Dear All

I've moved onto other stuff and I decide to cut ties with this ID*. I'm leaving this journal up for now because there are fic bits and link some people like (but mostly there are bits I want to save but don't have time to pick out yet), but I'm pretty much not going to to update, and I'm probably going to to neglect the email address this account is attached to.

So for security reasons, you should probably remove this journal from your friends/access list, in case it gets hacked in the future, I've noticed that happened to long abandoned stuff, dunno how that happened, but if it does, I won't be around to notice it and send out warnings.

*ID: In this era of facebook, I never would have started a livejournal. It's totally anon tumblr for sex fanfics, and then a real name ish flickr of food photos for boss to find. There is too much mingling of personally identificable-ishs stuff plus things I don't want boss/relatives to find!

Srsly, how the hell did the fire start. I can't believe that I'm almost grateful (or less resentful) of the heavy humidity in Toronto now, it's so heavy at times I could barely breathe, but at least nothing is catching on fire. Lord knows we'll be screwed if any of the condos goes up, I don't think our firetruck's ladder could reach that high.

When she threw the coffee, when she chased him with a knife, "By the time I'm out the door. You tear me down like Roger Moore". Srsly, gonna check and see if the Lincolns have been referenced in a country music song yet.

I know it was like, the White House decorating budget for 4 years, and Mary Todd Lincoln had overspent it in one!

(366) In the late 1840s, she predicted Ward Hill Lamon that Lincoln "is to be President of the United States some day; if I had not thought so I never would have married him, for you can see he is not pretty." (367).


...so she was physically abusive like Chris Brown, and used her marriage to the big star for all it's worth and credit history like Kevin Federline? No doubt many of her haters hated her for all the wrong things, her cleavage, her boldness, but just because there are people who hated her for the wrong things doesn't excuse the fact that she was an abusive beater and overspends on frills when the country was poor and at war.

Srsly, just do a genderflip and it's clearly horrifying. The comment against his looks was petty cruelty. Don't think it doesn't get to boys too. Prime Minister John A. Macdonald was called 'ugly Macdonald' in his boyhood, and his notebook included a distorted sketch of himself along that line that broadcasted :(

I'm still sad at all the lost opportunity in the film version of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I'm a Canadian and I actually LEARNED stuff reading the book (and looking stuff up afterwards). It does have plenty of Exploitable moments ripe for memes like the one above though.

I covered my face during the first vampire transformation, but I was more started than scared. The jacket waving felt so stupid, but not as stupid as the ax on one end, gun barrel on the other! Dude, a gun barrel should never be pointed towards anything you don't want shot. When Abe was swinging the head of the ax how was he minding its end?

Even gummy worms felt too sweet and heavy. Sucking on pieces of tart Granny Smith apples. Listening to Jingle Bell Rock and desperately trying to imagine myself some place/time colder. Begone July, BEGONE! Farmer's Almanac lied to me, their long term forecast was a mild summer!

Mildly irrationally annoyed at J.A.M. for not holding off his blender until after the signing, if only Canada Day had been earlier! I think I got sunburnt from yesterday.

Recurring wtf dream: Sepia toned room where I keep falling down, slipping on dark streaks and puddles of blood on the beige linoleum floor, I think I was just outside the skating rink of the community centre, even though I haven't skated in ages. No dead body, no knife wielding madman, no one at all.

This means that around this time of the year, in 1867, dear old John A, bless his soul, was celebrating his almost single-handedly drafted bill of Our Fucking Constitution, which he completed through an impressively short period of time by work binging, well, he celebrated work done soon by disappearing on a drinking binge that delayed Canada's birthday to July 1st.

If dear John A haven't gone on a bender, Canada day would have been weeks sooner, in June, or even May? It wouldn't have been so bloody hot, but then we'll have a harder time selling the leftover fireworks to American tourists?


I love this guy, he remains my favourite Prime Minister. Happy Early Birthday Canada, and may Dear John A have the best hangover free buzz in heaven.
