SO. You missed XY(T) at FRIGID last February and at FringeNYC last August. Do not despair, you have 12 more chances to catch the show!!!
XY(T) will be running January 8-31, Thurs-Sat at 8pm at WOW Cafe Theatre in the East Village. The show is on a shared bill with "Waiting for the Show," a ridiculous comedy by Theresa Diamond. Two shows for the price of one, recession special! You can't get a better deal than that!
To remind you all, here is a brief blurb about XY(T):
Do you have the balls to become a man? Delve into questions, contradictions, and characters exploring: TESTOSTERONE. Transgender butch Kestryl Cael strips layers of gender-self-sex-sanity pursuing his own masculinity. Are you ready to take it all off?
Combining ethnography, autobiography, a syringe, and a massive pink strap-on, XY(T) charts one queer’s quest for a gender that makes sense. Filled with testosterone and transgression, masculinity and mayhem, XY(T) playfully punctures everything you thought you knew about gender.

| Sound and Light Board Op needed for FringeNYC queer solo show - XY(T) |

PoMo Freakshow Productions is currently looking for a sound and light board operator for a FringeNYC show.
The show is called XY(T) - it's a one-queer-show about testosterone and
gender (more details about the performance itself here:
http://pomofreakshow.com/kessmain/?page_id=6). It's a fairly simple
show, as far as tech goes; one person can easily run both boards.
XY(T) will be performed at FringeNYC VENUE #13: The Players Loft.
Performance dates/times are: (running time is 50 minutes)
SAT 8/9 @ 5:30 pm
SUN 8/10 @ 7:00 pm
WED 8/13 @ 5:15 pm
FRI 8/15 @ 7:00 pm
SAT 8/16 @ 2:15 pm
MON 8/18 @ 7:00 pm
FRI 8/22 @ 3:30 pm
The cue-to-cue and tech rehearsal is scheduled for Weds, 8/6 in the afternoon. Optimally, we would like to schedule a dry tech rehearsal atsome point before that to go over cues, familiarize you with the
piece, etc.
Please do not respond if you cannot be present for the tech rehearsal and ALL 7 performances.
This position offers a stipend, as well as program and resume credit, a fabulous reference, and undying gratitude.

Today, I received notification that XY(T) has been accepted into The New York International Fringe Festival 2008 (aka FringeNYC)!!!
This is a BIG DEAL! FringeNYC is a juried festival and being selected as a participant is a HUGE honor.
I am so freaking excited!!!
Stay tuned for more details about what theatre I'll be performing in, as well as the specific dates and times I'll be up (the festival itself runs from August 8-24, 2008).
