I got tagged again. A few days ago, but it's taken me that long to think of things.

List 5 reasons you are a dork. And make them good reasons. Justify them.

Reason One: My physical appearance. Not saying I'm goofy or anything, just how I carry myself. I fall over and run into things a lot. I stare at my feet and either cross my arms or put my hands in my pockets. Also how I dress. It looks like I've been dragged through the Salvation Army Warehouse or something. I never do my shoelaces up and I only wear socks when I'm riding and only blue striped toe socks. And I wear glasses that slip down all the time. Shup. I'm a geek. Leave me alone. *sobs*

Reason Two: I get crazily addicted and obsessed with things. Then get bored and forget about them. And a few months later I'm back to being obsessive. Major fan girl. I hate them.

Reason Three: I confuse myself more than I confuse others when I speak. I also speak without thinking because my mind works faster than my mouth and I've usually moved on in the conversation by the time I've said something. Then I forget what it was I was saying in the first place and end up talking about something completely different. And the randomness. I'm very random. I have hair.

Reason Four: I'm very forgetful. Generally, I have an excellent long-term memory, but my short-term memory is shit. If I was told something I would forget it within an hour but remember it years from now. Personally, I think it's ignorance to everything outside of my own little world.

Reason Five: Me. I'm a dork all over. It's tattooed on my forehead.

Horse riding has become a fashion statement. What ever happened to just wearing biege jodphurs and brown boots? Everyone is so...co-ordinated now. One of the main arenas was set up as a warm-up area and early Monday morning, a day before the actual competition, there was maybe fifty people in there. I have never been blinded by so much colour in my life. Pink, purple, blue, red, yellow...and everything matched. From the horse's bridle and saddle cloth to the rider's hunting cap and chapettes. It was scary. Not to mention everyone had their name embroided neatly across everything. I bet even their underwear matched.
I will admit that both my bridle and saddle cloth are violet, but that was because they were purchased as a set. Do people really have that much money and lack of a life that they think up these things like stripes of brightly coloured material or stars of felt and glitter...omg, the glitter. On their horses' rumps! Stars brushed on and then sprinkled with glitter!!! I have the plain checker-board pattern on my horse. I have plain black jodphurs and standard black seude chapettes. My scull cap is also standard 3838 white.
It's so...gaudy and tacky. One chick even had sparkly gold splint and bell boots! And you can't forget the cowboy hats!
I'm not even going to go into the amount of Saddle Club products there was.
Yeah, I'm over it now. Back to the important things. Like me. And my placing 11th overall. Out of three hundred, that is an accomplishment, I suppose. But I know I was cheated out of first place. I had the evidence in black and white. My score was 64.82%. The only person even close to me was some New South Wales chick on 62.04%. I should have placed first, but then someone dropped me to 57.24%. That is a lot to drop when you consider I went from 1st placing all the way down to 11th. Not even in the top 10, which would mean I qualify for next year's event.
Now, the only people that are able to drop me are the judges and it must be down before I leave the dressage ring. Not four hours later after all the results are posted and everyone can plainly see that I won. My next two tests I placed 11th again and 13th. I know you're all thinking "omfg get over it already!" but you didn't see. You didn't see how well Lovely performed and how...shit everyone else did in comparison. Joseph Rolfe placed 2nd in two of he tests and his horse never once submited to the bit and it went around one whole movement on the wrong lead! My seven year old students know their correct leads.
Why? Why was I dropped? Why did Monte fucking Jackson take the gold?
Someone really doesn't like me.
Okay, I'll shut up now because I'm sure no one really has any idea what it is I'm talking about and I'm really just whining.

I found a packet of chocolate melts that are almost two years out of date. Being a naturally curious little science geek and a pyromaniac (thanks Anthony), I decided to find out what would happen if I were to melt them in the microwave. So I set them at 100% power for five minutes and wondered back into my room to check my e-mail. Two minutes later the smell of burning chocolate and smoke assaults my nose and I rush out to the kitchen only to run into the bench, unable to see through the thick smoke that had filled the tiny area. I turned on three fans, flapped a blanket about some and assured the neighbours that no, the house was not on fire and no, I wasn't smoking pot.
So what happens when you melt out-of-date chocolate?
