09:11 pm I'm really fed up. I have been producing a show and the second director is now threatening to quit and the cast are a pain and I am working so hard on it and it is going to be really good but I am just very pissed off about it all and can't wait for it to be over.

10:13 am As I sit here I have the heat of the sun on my back. I have not felt that for several weeks now. The snow has finally melted. It has left us with a collapsed rose arbour, a collapsed pergola, the outside tap blew off the wall and burst, our boiler broke down several times and we lost some branches off the eucalyptus trees. I went outside most days to shake the snow off the hedges and tress but could not reach the higher branches. I had to cancel the AGM of my drama group due to snow and was about to call it again for next Wednesday but I see that Heavy Snow is now predicted for that day too! I thought it was over! Don't get me wrong, I really like the snow but it has caused us a bit of damage. I feel like I have been cooped up for a while now and can't wait to drive somewhere far away....

09:24 am I am devastated by the news of MJ's death. I was driving back fomr a drama class and heard it on the radio. I could not belive it, it was such a shock. The thing is, I grew up wit his music, from the first tracks like 'Ben' nd 'Rockin' Robin' to his solo albums in the 80's. I remember buying his album 'Off the Wall' and playing it over and over.... My sister 'loved' him, (I was a Donny Osmond freak!) so I definitely heard a lot about Michael in my teens! The really sad thing, is that he was 'got at' by people who brought him down. He was a very sensitve creature and had a a weird life so was very vulnerable. There is conjecture that he died from those ghastly psychiatric drugs xanax and zoloft which have known side-effects of cardiac arrest. What a waste, another musical genius lost to drugs....

02:07 pm Haha, so the house sale fell through last week! On the last day the lady decided not to buy it. So we were very upset for a few days. However there is someone else who wants to buy it but he does not want to pay more than 710 which is not enough. We might now sell mum's part of the house, not sure. Anyway, just thought I would let you all know. It seems I was precipitate in my last post:(

09:52 am So we did manage to sell our house, for much less than the price we wanted.... but anyway! We will be moving next month to a lovely place. We will rent it for about a year then buy when we find somewhere we like. The new house has its own drive through the forest for over half a mile and it has tons of bluebells and streams! It is an old cottage but has recently been renovated so it is very modern inside. It has an acre of walled garden at the back so our blind cat Eric wont get lost! So at least we have somewhere nice to move to and it wont be such a wrench leaving this house. Here is a link, but it is nicer in the flesh! Click on the more details, more photos thingy.... http://www.connells.co.uk/detail.asp?type=1&src=property&cs=51,65&bs=EGR&br=-1&prop=-1&min=1900&max=1950&bed=4&page=1&id=EGR400240

06:59 pm My dad was on Radio Caroline as a DJ, Mike Allen. I heard about this new movie 'The Boat that Rocked' and checked out the trailer. Anyway, I was gobsmacked to see that one of the actors is made up to look VERY LIKE MY DAD!
I was so shocked! It is The Philip Seymour-Hoffman character. However I would like to point out that my dad was not fat! He is wearing the same glasses and has the same sideburns and is even wearing a similar outfit to what my dad wore! I wonder if they have made them into similar characters, but I doubt it....
I don't think that they had such a wild time as the movie trailer portrays, and they did not dress so 60's. Mum said that they actually had a uniform! This is a photo of my dad....

We used to drive to Harwich to pick him up every 2 weeks, and usually gave a lift home to Tony Blackburn who I thought was lovely!
I shall watch the movie with interest!
