Miami is a city in the Real World, located in Florida in the United States of America. In addition to being featured in The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, it is also the home city of WSFL-TV, which broadcasted The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! in the Miami–Fort Lauderdale area (known at the time as "WDZL").[1]
In The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode "Life's Ruff", Hip and Hop Koopa transform Luigi and King Windbag into dogs with the king's stolen magic wand. In their attempt to get away from Luigi and King Windbag, Hip and Hop enter a Warp Pipe, which warps them to Miami.
In Miami, Hip and Hop board a trackless train and ride to a hotel, with Luigi and King Windbag in hot pursuit. At the hotel, Hip and Hop start a food fight, and Luigi and King Windbag try and fail to stop them. Eventually, Herman the dog catcher is called to capture Luigi and Windbag and take them away to Florida State Poochitentiary while Hip and Hop escape in a stolen sports car. After breaking out of the Poochitentiary, Luigi and King Windbag leave the vicinity of Miami and pursue Hip and Hop to the Kennedy Space Center to stop them from hijacking the space shuttle and recover the wand.
