Decades of unsustainable use, extreme weather events, and the changing composition of forest ecosystems threaten the public landscapes we cherish, leaving them vulnerable to catastrophic wildfire, disease, drought, and overuse.

At the National Forest Foundation (NFF), we transform America’s love of nature into action for National Forests. As the congressionally-chartered nonprofit partner of the U.S. Forest Service, we roll up our sleeves and help our federal partner implement projects at scale, leveraging private support to match public dollars.

Our Forests Need Us Today.

Federal funding alone isn’t enough to meet the pace or scope of the challenges facing National Forests. Your support allows us to act faster, fill critical gaps, and scale solutions that would otherwise remain on the table.
