The City of Redmond partners with the Washington State Department of Revenue Business Licensing Service (BLS) to issue a city endorsement (license), which will be printed on your Washington State Business License. All new endorsement (license) applications and renewals must be submitted through the BLS system at https://dor.wa.gov.
The 2026 annual license fee for the City of Redmond is $160.00 per full-time equivalent employee (1,920 hours worked in the City of Redmond).
A city endorsement (license) is required to engage in business in the City of Redmond whether you are located within Redmond, or simply conducting business in Redmond. If your place of business is not located within the city limits, but you or your agents will be physically coming into the city to conduct business, call on clients, or provide services, you will also need a Redmond city endorsement (license) added to the Washington State Business License.
