Biography

Joseph LeFever was a granchild of a Huguenot emigrant (1540-1790).

US Congressman. He was engaged in agricultural pursuits when elected as a Republican to the Twelfth Congress, serving 1811 to 1813. After his term, he resumed the agricultural profession until his death.
