In time for #FossilFriday, @miguelpmarx and I prepared the page on Futabasaurus suzukii for the plesiosaur database. Futabasaurus is the only plesiosaur currently named from Japan and one of the most complete specimens known from Asia. 1/2 #paleontology

I’m excited to share a new project that I hope will be a valuable resource for the paleo community! I'm working on a textbook about plesiosaurs and compiled an overview of all currently valid plesiosaur taxa and some nomina dubia. 1/3 sachspal.de/plesiosauria/ #FossilFriday

I just launched a webpage on Attenborosaurus conybeari, the plesiosaur named after Sir David Attenborough. The holotype skeleton, curated in Bristol, was destroyed by bombing in WWII. #paleontology #SirDavidAttenborough #NaturalHistory #plesiosaur #Science
