As a Canadian citizen, it took me 12 years to get US citizenship under extraordinary ability as a dietitian. I had a thick pile of references from various universities and corporations where I had given lectures. Also, letters from many doctors who had sent me patients, 20 TV interviews on tape, entrepreneurship recognitions in three countries, a copy of my first book published in Canada, and a cereal box with my book on the cover. Then there were numerous visits to doctors for vaccines, injections and x-rays. I then had to fly to Montreal to have x-rays taken again to confirm that the New York set of x-rays were actually mine. Americans have no idea how hard it is to immigrate legally.
It seems illegally is easier and you are helped financially. This is madness!
While it is trivial to enter the United States illegally, it is insanely difficult for legal immigrants to move to the United States.
This is madness! We should shut down illegal immigration and greatly increase legal immigration.
