FILLERY engine specifications

In a news item published in 2010 in the Dargaville newspaper, it is published that Allan Fillery designed and built a radial engine of seven cylinders for general aviation that we see in the illustration below, which appeared together with the news.

"Allan with his radial engine" (PiP)

-It is mentioned that it is a four-stroke engine that displaces four liters in total. It has digital operation control, and it has side valves to reduce the front diameter.

-The wax molds for block and cylinder castings are made by himself. In total there are 32 molds.

-The valves are at the rear of the cylinders. The engine is currently in development.

From Appendix 11: We have found information that before the 7-cylinder engine he has made a 9-cylinder radial engine for a model.

The author of this edition of Aeroengines AtoZ, through Aeroteca, collaborated on Version 2 of this video, which is presented here.

To understand the operation of the connecting rods, the 1929 Continental R 670 single-cylinder engine was chosen.

A demonstration of Version 3, improved at the author's suggestion, is also available on YouTube at a later date. This version shows bronze valve guides, improved valve spring movement, and the split crankshaft counterweights and front bearing balls also move.

The design is from Juan Soler, Sant Cugat, Barcelona

Below we show a flash of version 3
