#114. Canal in Venice.

  22 × 32, oil on canvas. "Gilbert Munger 18(??)" lower left. One pencil inscription on a stretcher that is difficult to read might say: "1924 New York." The brackets joining the stretcher bars together at the corners are embossed with: "PAT'D FEB. 13 1883 JUNE 16 1885 A.D.S." The date with the signature is either 1896 or 1898, with 1898 looking most probable. Sold for $700 + 10% at Weschler's, Washington DC, sale of 1 October 1988, lot 108.
