☆土 肥 直美（どい なおみ、1945年[1] - ）は、日本の形質人類学者。土肥氏の専門は形質人類学。古人骨分野のエキスパートで、古人骨の分析から琉 球列島人の特徴や生活の様子を明らかにした。土肥氏は熊本県生まれ。九州大学理学部生物学科を卒業、九州大学医学部解剖学第2講座助手を経て1992年か ら琉球大学医学部解剖学第1講座准教授を2010年まで務めた。風葬人骨を皮切りに沖縄で出土する人骨の調査と形質分析を数多く行ってきた。

| 熊本県出身。1963年福岡県立修猷館高等学校を経て[2]、1967
年九州大学理学部生物学科を卒業[1]。 1967年九州大学医学部解剖学第二講座助手となり、1993年琉球大学医学部解剖学第一講座助教授に転じ、2007年より2010年まで同准教授。 2010年より2016年まで同非常勤講師[3]。 風葬人骨の調査を皮切りに沖縄で出土する人骨の調査と形質分析を数多く行う。2010年から開始された沖縄県立埋蔵文化財センターによる石垣島白保竿根田 原洞穴遺跡の調査に参加し、旧石器時代人骨の発掘と分析に携わる[1]。2018年には、土肥が代表となり進められた研究により、発掘された後期旧石器時 代（2万7000年前）の人骨の頭蓋のデジタル復元および顔貌の復元（復顔）に成功している[4]。 |
She was born in Kumamoto
Prefecture. After attending Fukuoka Prefectural Shuyukan High School in
1963, she graduated from the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science,
Kyushu University in 1967. In 1967, she became a research assistant in the Second Department of Anatomy at the Kyushu University School of Medicine; in 1993, she moved to the First Department of Anatomy at the University of the Ryukyus School of Medicine as an assistant professor; and from 2007 to 2010, she served as an associate professor there. From 2010 to 2016, she served as a part-time lecturer at the same institution. Beginning with an investigation of human remains from wind burials, she has conducted numerous investigations and morphological analyses of human skeletal remains excavated in Okinawa. She participated in the survey of the Shiraho Kanenohara Cave Site on Ishigaki Island, conducted by the Okinawa Prefectural Center for Buried Cultural Properties beginning in 2010, and was involved in the excavation and analysis of Paleolithic human remains. In 2018, research led by Doi succeeded in digitally reconstructing the skull and facial features (facial reconstruction) of human remains excavated from the Late Paleolithic period (27,000 years ago). |

| 沖縄研究の先駆者、東恩納寛惇の功績をたたえ、沖縄を対象とした研究の
発展に顕著な功績を挙げた研究者に贈る第42回東恩納寛惇賞（琉球新報社主催）は、人類学者の土肥直美氏（80）＝那覇市＝に決まった。 土肥氏の専門は形質人類学。古人骨分野のエキスパートで、古人骨の分析から琉球列島人の特徴や生活の様子を明らかにした。女性の受賞者は初めて。 土肥氏は熊本県生まれ。九州大学理学部生物学科を卒業、九州大学医学部解剖学第2講座助手を経て1992年から琉球大学医学部解剖学第1講座准教授を 2010年まで務めた。風葬人骨を皮切りに沖縄で出土する人骨の調査と形質分析を数多く行ってきた。 選考会は2月4日、琉球新報社で開かれた。贈呈式は3月14日午後6時半から那覇市泉崎の琉球新報ホールで開く。 |
The 42nd Hiroshi Higashinonna
Award (sponsored by the Ryukyu Shimpo), which honors the achievements
of Hiroshi Higashinonna, a pioneer in Okinawan studies, and is
presented to researchers who have made outstanding contributions to the
advancement of research on Okinawa, has been awarded to anthropologist
Naomi Doi (80) of Naha City. Ms. Doi specializes in physical anthropology. As an expert in the field of ancient human remains, she has elucidated the characteristics and way of life of the people of the Ryukyu Islands through the analysis of such remains. She is the first female recipient of the award. Ms. Doi was born in Kumamoto Prefecture. After graduating from the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Kyushu University, and serving as a research assistant in the Second Department of Anatomy at Kyushu University’s School of Medicine, she served as an associate professor in the First Department of Anatomy at the University of the Ryukyus School of Medicine from 1992 until 2010. Starting with human remains from sky burials, she has conducted numerous investigations and morphological analyses of human skeletal remains excavated in Okinawa. The selection committee meeting was held on February 4 at the Ryukyu Shimpo offices. The award ceremony will be held on March 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ryukyu Shimpo Hall in Izumizaki, Naha City. |
