The device is housed in a
heavy wooden enclosure that also acts
as a transport case. It has a leather grip at the top and a
removable lid at the front,
that is held in place by two hinges
at the bottom and two spring-loaded clips at the top.
The B2M is a clone of the British Type 3 Mark II, commonly known
as the B2, but unlike the B2 – which consists of three
separate units – the B2M is an all-in-one device.
At the front panel,
the individual units – transmitter, receiver and PSU – are separated by
white lines. On the inside however, the
three individual units are still visible.

In February 2018, German radio amateur Karsten Hansky (DR3HRT),
recorded the audio samples below. The first sample was taken from
the receiver of the B2M, whilst connected to a long-wire antenna.
The second sample is from the B2M's own transmitter, recorded
approx. 400 km away via the Web-SDR receiver at Twente University
in the Netherlands.
