The Bosnian director Bato Cengic, made
the allegorical parable Mali Vojnici/ Playing Soldiers (1967), scripted by Mirko Kovac, in which orphans of war end up emulating the war of the adults.
He then collaborated with screenwriter Branko Vucicevic and Slovenian cinematographer Karpo Godina to
criticize the aberrations of socialism in
Uloga Moje Porodice u Svjetskoj Revoluciji/ The Role of My Family in the Revolution (1971), starring Dragan Nikolic and Milena Dravic,
and
Slike iz Zivota Udarnika/ Life of a Shock Force Worker (1972).
