Georgia-born "outlaw" singer-songwriter Larry Jon Wilson debuted with rather
conventional collections of intimate portraits:
New Beginnings (1975),
Let Me Sing My Song To You (1976) and
Loose Change (1977).
After a collection of covers, Sojourner (1979), he stopped recording.
After almost three decades, he released the humble and sparsely arranged
Larry Jon Wilson (Drag City, 2009), recorded in 2007, highlighted by the mournful Losers Trilogy, but
still mostly dominated by other people's songs, including the ten-minute
Whore Trilogy.
