Brian Kild’s Electric Peace, after recording Kill For Your Love (1982), the EP Electric Peace (1983) and a mini-album, Rest In Peace (Big K, 1985), featuring Big Man—which were the negation of the Paisley Underground (violent, criminal, nauseating)—starting with Medieval Mosquito (Barred, 1987), with Honey Davis, a bona fide Chicago blues guitarist, and Jim Hawkinson, a classically inclined organist, defined a blend of garage punk, hard rock and Hendrixian psychedelia that serves as the perfect backdrop for the brutal, macabre hyper-realism of everyday stories such as Came Into Town (1987), I Was Thinking (1987), Prince Of Death Of The Freeway (1988), Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead (1988), Drinkin' And Drivin' Till The Day I Die (1989), and Something's Wrong (1989).

The albums were Insecticide (Barred, 1988) and Road to Peace (Barred, 1989), recorded in 1985 by a line-up consisting of Brian Kild on bass and vocals, Greg Welsh on guitars, Tsih Lucca on flutes, Eric Westfall on keyboards, and Rick Winward on drums.

Theirs is a catalogue of atrocities drawn from everyday life in the metropolis of alienation par excellence, using the tones of psychedelic revival to represent the same pagan universe as punk. With them, psychedelia ceases to be an antiquarian object and once again becomes a soundtrack of the present.

Honey Davis joined Hollyrock for Legalize Freedom (Life & Death, 1987) and Hollyrock II (Life & Death, 1989). He also released the solo albums My Heart Attacked Me (Life & Death, 1988), Battleground (Life & Death, 1995) and Prince Of The Blues (Life & Death, 2005).

Jim Hawkinson died in 1987 in a motorbike accident and Greg Welsh died from AIDS in 1990.

Brian Kild reformed the Electric Peace for the EP You're Going to Hell (2021).
