The Crabs, a lo-fi guitar-drum duo from Eugene (Oregon), John Lunsford and Lisa Jackson, surfaced with the charming singles Dreamboat and Sore.

Far less minimalist than advertised, Jackpot (K, 1995) falls into the power-pop category (Swallow The Sea, Alien Girl, She Is A Titan).

The problem with Brainwashed (K, 1996) is very simple: the best track is an instrumental (Prom Night), which proves that the duo has musical skills but also can't write a good song.

Sea and Sand (K, 1999) is graced by the addition of organist Sarah Dougher (Tumbling Away).
