North Carolina's soul singer Anthony Hamilton, a disciple of Stevie Wonder's
smooth style, debuted with the sophisticated
XTC (1996). Two of his albums were canceled,
partly resurrected for Soulife (2005),
but
Comin' from Where I'm From (2003) spawned the hit Charlene, and
Ain't Nobody Worryin' (2005) established Hamilton as a force of
traditional soul music.
He became a start with The Point of It All (2008). followed by the
mediocre Back to Love (2011).
