Jeru the Damaja, aka New Yorks' rapper Kendrick Davis, collaborated with
producer Chris "DJ Premier" Martin for
The Sun Rises in the East (1994) and
Wrath of the Math (1996), his best albums.
Jeru recorded Return of the Crooklyn Dodgers (1995) with Chubb Rock and Omar Credle under the moniker Crooklyn Dodgers.
He then tried repeatedly to restart his career with the albums
Heroz4Hire (1999),
Divine Design (2003) and
Still Rising (2007).
