New York's Saetia, fronted by screamer Billy Werner, invented a popular variant of emocore: "screamo". Its main attribute was the high-pitched screaming, but also the extremely furious guitar playing, as demonstrated on Saetia (1999), featuring the double guitar-attack of Jamie Behar and Adam Marino.
A Retrospective (2001) compiles their entire discography (the album, singles and rarities).
Off Minor, a trio fronted by
Saetia's
vocalist and guitarist Jamie Behar,
played jazzcore on albums such as Heat Death of the Universe (2003),
Innominate (2004) and
Some Blood (2008).
