Roni Size collaborator DJ Krust is one of the gurus of drum'n'bass. After affirming his original style with the singles Warhead and Maintain, Krust released his first album, Coded Language (Mercury, 1999). Jazzy and dischordant, it lacks the feeling and the warmth of old-fashioned dance music but it makes up with a glacial vision of the urban soundscape (Coded Language, Re-Arrange, Guilty).
