LFO (Low Frequency Oscillation), i.e. the duo of Mark Bell and Jez Varley, took their cues from Kraftwerk with the single LFO (Warp, 1990) and more generally with the album Frequencies (Tommy Boy, 1991), one of the best of British techno.

Preceded by Tied Up (Warp), in 1995 Advance (1996) serves up another dose of pneumatic rhythms.

Mark Bell resurrected the moniker LFO for Sheath (Warp, 2003)
