(Translated from my original Italian text by ChatGPT and Piero Scaruffi)
Pushing the invention of the Sisters Of Mercy to its extreme, Rosetta Stone (Porl King and Karl North) emerged in the early 1990s with the singles Leave Me For Dead, An Eye For The Main Cause, and Adrenaline, updating dark-punk for the dance floor. The gothic of Adrenaline (Cleopatra, 1992), particularly The Witch, even seems almost cheerful, propelled as it is by disco rhythms. Foundation Stones (Cleopatra, 1993) contains outtakes from their first album. On The Tyranny Of Inaction (Minority, 1995) they also absorbed industrial music, moving closer to Nine Inch Nails (Nothing).
