Xaal was a French instrumental progressive trio (Nicolas Neimer on bass, Patrick Boileau on drums, Jad Ayache on guitar) that debuted with Xaal (1990) and then recorded two adventurous albums, En Chemin (Musea, 1991), with the 11-minute fantasia Byblos, and the more ambitious Second Ere (Musea, 1995), with complex suites such as Rah and Al Abad.
