Dance Disaster Movement is a Los Angeles duo
(Kevin Litrow on synths, guitar and vocals, Matt Howze on percussion)
that plays virulent disco-punk
inspired by the likes of Public Image Ltd
and Suicide.
We Are From Nowhere (Dim Mak, 2003) was one of the albums that
launched the fad in the USA. Some of the songs are sonically or psychologically
explosive
(C'est La Vie, The Shots, I Want Your Sass)
while others paint disturbing soundscapes.
The limits of their program emerged on
the seven-track mini-album Snow On The Tv (Dim Mak, 2005).
