Los Angeles-based
Foreign Born, formed
by vocalist Matt Popieluch and guitarist Lewis Pesacov, debuted in a
quasi-shoegaze vein with the
EPs In the Remote Woods (2005) and
Loud Times in the Valley (2006).
Their melodic skills emerged on their album
On the Wing Now (2007)
and took over on
Person To Person (2009), frequently approaching Brit-pop romanticism.
Pesacov also played in Fool's Gold that debuted with
the pan-ethnic stew
of Fool's Gold (2009).
