Fuqugi, the project of Japanese guitarist Daiki Sakae,
debuted with
the gentle ambient music for elongated guitar tones of
Gransofa + Nightingale (Plop, 2009).
The highlights are the melodic theme of Nightingale
and the hypnotic psalm Altar.
The emotions range from
the ecstatic mood of Hibiscus, that evokes deserted exotic islands,
to the noir atmosphere of Alleyway, that evokes swarms of ghosts
chasing dead souls.
