Something Corporate were a mediocre Los Angeles-area pop band that became famous
thanks to the poppy tunes of Leaving Through the Window (2002). The
main composer, Andrew McMahon, launched a side-project,
Jack's Mannequin, that manufactured even more tuneful songs on
Everything in Transit (2005), including The Mixed Tape.
However, its follow-up,
The Glass passenger (2008), was a brutal disappointment.
