Chicago's
Melochrome, a trio featuring vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist
Pramod Tummala,
released albums of unassuming dream-pop:
The Music We Make (1999),
Stay a Little Longer (2001), that added keyboardist Justin Mayer,
and This Is Motion (2002).
Morning Recordings, the brainchild of Pramod Tummala, created an even more
ethereal style of pop song on
Music For Places (Loose Thread, 2005), that was performed by
members of Lambchop, L'Altra, Poi Dog Pondering and others,
and on the more organic
The Welcome Kinetic (Loose Thread, 2007).
