Scottish singer-songwriter Jacob Alon debuted with
In Limerence (2025), produced by Dan Carey, a collection of simple
alt-folk songs in the vein of
Sufjan Stevens,
sung in tones reminiscent of
Jeff Buckley and
Elliott Smith.
The album contains the
fragile and tender Fairy In A Bottle (the 2024 debut single)
the upbeat and trotting I Couldn't Feed Her,
the slow pop-jazz ballad Liquid Gold 25,
while August Moon borrows the bucolic vein of Donovan and
the lethargic and droning Sertraline ventures into psychedelic territory.
