North Carolina's rapper Jonathan "DaBaby" Kirk, whose first mixtape was Nonfiction (2015), skyrocketed to the top of the charts with the albums
Baby on Baby (2019), containing the hit Suge,
Kirk (2019), a rather monotonous experience, and
Blame It on Baby (2020), the latter containing a collaboration with
Roddy Ricch, Rockstar (2020).
The problem is that the quality of the material detoriated exponentially
between the first and third album.
