Los Angeles-based Texas-born singer
Selena Gomez, already a television actress since she was 10 years old and
then a movie actress, formed
Selena Gomez & the Scene which released three albums of dance-pop:
Kiss & Tell (2009), which contains
Falling Down (composed by Gina Schock of the Go-Go's, Ted Bruner and Trey Vittetoe),
A Year Without Rain (2010), and When the Sun Goes Down (2011).
She debuted solo with Stars Dance (2013), crafted by an army of
producers and songwriters and containing Come & Get It, followed by
Revival (2015), containing Good for You, Same Old Love and Hands to Myself, and by Rare (2020), containing her biggest hit,
Lose You to Love Me.
The Spanish-language EP Revelacion (2021), mostly architected by
Puerto Rican producer Marcos "Tainy" Fernandez,
incorporated reggaeton and contains
De Una Vez, Baila Conmigo with
Rauw Alejandro, and Selfish Love with French producer William "DJ Snake" Grigahcine.
