M.E.S.H.

M.E.S.H., the project of the US-born Berlin-based producer James Whipple, debuted with the EP Share the Blame on Dyssembler (2012). The five-song EP Scythians (2014) revealed him as a digital wizard with the convoluted, warped and muffled anti-dance music Scythians and the intricate beats of Interdictor. The single Infra-Dusk/ Infra-Dawn (2015) and the album Piteous Gate (2015) reveled in that brainy style of deconstructed electronic dance. The album's highlights are nonlinear dissonant instrumentals like Epithet, Thorium and Methy Imbiss.

After the much more club-oriented EP Damaged Merc (2016), Whipple released his second album Hesaitix (2017), focused on much more linear and conventional dance music. Hart Aber Fair (2019) is a mixtape that collects music recorded between 2013 and 2019.
