Normani

Atlanta-born Los Angeles-based singer Normani Hamilton was originally one of the five members of girl-group Fifth Harmony, who released the albums Reflection (2015), 7/27 (2016), and Fifth Harmony (2017). Normani launched her solo career with Love Lies (2018), which was a duet with Khalid Robinson, who had just debuted with the highly successful album American Teen (2017), followed by an EP collaboration with Calvin Harris (2018) and Dancing with a Stranger (2019), a collaboration with Sam Smith. These duets turned her into a Spotify star. Even her first solo single, Motivation, was in fact a collaboration with Ariana Grande, as was Bay to You (2019). 2020 opened with another widely publicized collaboration, Diamonds, with rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

Normani's Wild Side (2021), featuring Cardi B, was just standard commercial high-tech soul music (an incredible waste of talents, given that it was composed by Dave Cappa, Jonah Christian, June Nawakii, Taylor Ross, Tyler Rohn and Brittany "Starrah" Hazzard). but the video was indeed something to admire.
