English producer and singer Jai Paul crafted
the ghostly, moribund dubstep litany of BTSTU (2007)
and especially the stuttering Jasmine (2012), two songs that became
sensations on the Internet in 2012.
Jai Paul's debut album Leak 04-13 (Bait Ones) (2013) was released only in 2019, and was still in "demo" format.
Despite the hype, it was just a collection of amateurish
synth-pop mayhems such as
Str8 Outta Mumbai (which samples Ravi Shankar's Bala Main Bairagan Hoongi)
and Genevieve.
