Note that Herbert Wells' tale "The Remarkable Case of Davidson's Eyes" (1895) mentions a fourth dimension of space, his novel "Wonderful Visit" (1895) specifically mentions the warped space of non-Euclidean geometry, and his novel "The Time Machine" (1895) explicitly mentions time as a fourth dimension, all of this ten years before Einstein's Relativity.
